Tryouts for the 2023 season will be held at Great Neck Middle School.

Parking: front lot. Please do not park in Admin spots that are close to the gym.

Enter at door to the right for Gymnasium.

Tryouts are closed to spectators.

Don’t forget to bring your physical!

Three dates for OPTIONAL summer practices are now available:

July 11, 18, and 20
6-8 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: LOCATION IS EAST COAST VOLLEYBALL CLUB, NOT FCHS!

PHYSICAL REQUIRED: A current physical dated on or after May 1, 2023, is required for participation in the summer sessions. Physicals from last season are no longer acceptable. If your physical is already on file at the training room at FC, please contact Coach Magula IN ADVANCE with this information – since we will not be at FC, physicals will have to be checked during the day when trainers are at FC. If your physical is not on file at the training room at FC, please bring your physical with you to the first session you attend (either summer practice or tryouts). No physical = No participation.

These practices are open to FC students only. This includes rising freshmen.

The selection committee is proud to award the 8th annual Coach Del Rodil Memorial Scholarship. The 2023 recipient is Cecilia Miller.

Tryouts for the 2023 season begin July 31, 2023. The final day of tryouts is projected to be August 2, 2023, with the first day of practice set for August 3rd. Stay tuned to the website calendar for a complete season schedule.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is possible that Tryouts will NOT be held at FC. Construction items in the gym may not be completed by July 31st. Be sure to check the website calendar details for the location of EACH session. The calendar will be updated as information becomes available and plans are in place. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

A current physical, dated on or after May 1, 2023, is required for participation in tryouts. The attached physical form must be used. This form can also be downloaded from www.vhsl.org. Pages 1, 2, and 4 require signatures from student and/or parent. Please make sure each page prints completely if you print the document at home. Pre-printed forms will also be available at school. Physical forms should be turned in to Coach Magula or the Athletic Training Room (drop box outside the door) – please do not take completed forms to the main office as they could get lost. It is a good idea to keep a copy at home.

Optional summer practice sessions will be posted on the website calendar IF WE ARE ABLE TO HAVE THEM. Current FC students and rising 9th graders will be welcome to attend. A current physical (as noted above) will be required for participation.
