On behalf of the Beasley family, it is my pleasure to announce the recipient of the first Maylea Brockington Beasley Love and Laughter Scholarship. The 2021 award goes to Madison DeCandido.

The 6th annual Coach Del Rodil Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Natalie Mieczkowski. Unfortunately, the pandemic has once again prevented us from presenting the award in person at the annual Senior Awards Night.
Congratulations Natalie and best of luck at Virginia Tech!

Tryouts for the (hopefully normal) 2021 season begin August 2, 2021. The final day of tryouts is projected to be August 4, 2021, with the first day of practice set for August 5th. Stay tuned to the website calendar for a complete season schedule. [UPDATE 6/14/21: The calendar is close to complete. Waiting on tournament and homecoming information to finalize a few weekends. Subject to change, of course, but this gives an idea of the time commitment involved.]

A current physical, dated on or after May 1, 2021, is required for participation. The attached physical form must be used. This form can also be downloaded from www.vhsl.org. Pages 1, 2, and 4 require signatures from student and/or parent. Please make sure each page prints completely if you print the document at home. Pre-printed forms will also be available at school. Physical forms should be turned in to Coach Magula or the Athletic Training Room (drop box outside the door) – please do not take completed forms to the main office as they could get lost. It is a good idea to keep a copy at home.

Optional spring/summer practice sessions are posted on the website calendar. Current FC students are welcome to attend now and rising 9th graders are welcome to attend once their 8th grade school year has ended. A current physical (as noted above) is required for participation.
